Pet shop operator pete Davidson has died after falling from a ladder in Melbourne’s inner west.
He was 36.
Police say Mr Davidson fell into the Melbourne suburb of Goughton about 4.20pm on Wednesday, April 16.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Melbourne Fire Brigade says the owner of the store, Gail Jones, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A statement from Gail said the incident was “absolutely devastating” and she and her husband had “lost a wonderful partner”.
“I am devastated to have lost my pet, pete, and my partner, I am devastated at the loss of our friendship,” she said.
“I want to thank all of you for your prayers and support as we deal with this terrible loss.”
Police are investigating.
